Jared Davis (b. 1988) is a writer and curator based in London with an interest in independent music, sound culture and its politics. He is a current PhD (Art History & Theory) candidate at Monash University.

Jared has contributed art and music related articles to publications including DIS Magazine, Public Seminar (The New School, New York), 3hD Festival (Berlin, online programme), Art Monthly Australia, RealTime and produced catalogue essays for the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art among others.

Notable curatorial projects of Jared’s include a public audio-visual performance in Stockholm by Melbourne artist Emile Zile in partnership with Färgfabriken and Bus Projects (SOUTH/SÖDER, 2012); a performance-oriented exhibition and extensive public programme at Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne (Always Moving, 2010); an installation by Melbourne sound artist Philip Samartzis at the Iziko South African National Gallery in Cape Town (Echoes, 2010); and a public sound art installation by South African artist James Webb as part of the 2009 Melbourne International Arts Festival (Echoes, 2009).
